P V Sindhu will now play Carolina Marin, the world No 1, in the Badminton final on Friday 19-8-2016 and wish Sindhu grabs the gold.
She confirmed a place in the gold medal round with a 21-19, 21-10 victory over Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the women’s singles semifinal at the Riocentro Pavilion on Thursday 18-8-2016.
Past records will count for nothing when the two players fight for gold.
