Overloaded with Scams...

In its 225-page judgment, the Italian Court of Appeals addresses several conversations which took place among three middlemen involved in this deal: Carlos Gerosa, Christian Michel and Guildo Haschke. These conversations have mentions of "Mrs Gandhi" being the "driving force behind the VIP", and she and her "closest advisers" (Ahmed Patel and Pranab Mukherjee) being "the aim of the British high commissioner".

So Dr Swamy pointed out Sonia Gandhi's alleged involvement Agusta Westland chopper scam.

Mission Impossible...

More than 1 crore LPG consumers have given up their cooking gas subsidies in one year since Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a call to the well-heeled to give up the same. The surrendered subsidy is used by the government to provide cooking gas connection to the poor in rural households free of cost, the official said. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to citizens by tweeting ”To give is as joyful as to receive, I assure you that the subsidy you give up will reach those who need it.”

Low decibel fireworks in Pooram festival HC Order...

The Kerala High Court on Thursday allowed low-decibel fireworks display in the night during the ongoing Pooram festival in Thrissur, exempting it from the ban imposed in the wake of Kollam Puttingal temple tragedy took 113 lives.

No unauthorised chemicals should be used in the fireworks and the sound level should not exceed 125 decibel, a division bench comprising Justices Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice Anu Sivaraman said in the order.

Yeddyurappa wild card entry as BJP head...

Former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who had lost his post after being accused of corruption, is back in a prominent role as the BJP's Karnataka unit president.

Yeddyurappa became the frontrunner to take up the post of the party’s Karnataka unit after the Supreme Court last year declined to intervene and revoke a Karnataka High Court order putting on hold his prosecution in a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Yeddyurapa was forced to resign as chief minister in 2012 over corruption charges.

Supreme court trying to kill the faith...

Days after the Bombay High Court ordered women to be allowed to enter the Shani Shingnapur temple, now the Supreme Court has questioned the Sabarimala Temple Trust if traditions are above the Constitution.
